Port town with old Japanese naval history and a retro feel
"Kure" was previously the greatest naval port in the East, and is famous as town where the old Japanese navy warship "Yamato" was built. It houses a model of the "Yamato", at a length of 26.3 meters, and the "Yamato Museum", in which valuable historical records are stored. A feature of the city its its retro feel that remainsin this old military port town.
